Starlite’s Floating AMO

Starlites most recent AMO has been approved by CAA. After months of negotiations and paper work, ensuring that all compliance criteria was fulfilled, Dawie Degenaar, from Starlite Maintenance Johannesburg, secured the AMO, the first of its type for the Company.
Starlite is contracted by the Department of Environmental Affairs to operate 2 Bell 212s on the SA Agulhas II. The research vessel was adapted to include a hangar and maintenance facilities on board. The vessel which sails to Marion and Gough islands and makes the lengthy voyage to Antarctica, now has a registered AMO on board.
