VACANCY – CHIEF ENGINEER
REPORTING TO: ACCOUNTABLE MANAGER | LOCATION: HEIDELBERG (GAUTENG)
Starlite Maintenance Johannesburg (Pty) Ltd has a requirement for an organised, attentive and supportive individual to fill this position in Heidelberg within the Starlite Group.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement systems and controls to enable the effective functioning of all
- sections under your control in the AMO and ensure maximum availability of aircraft and related equipment.
- Manage and control in-field support services to deployed aircraft and personnel in terms
- of routine spares support and AOG scenarios as defined by the Service Level Agreement.
- Ensure that regulatory requirements, company policies and procedures are complied with
- when carrying out maintenance and managing the various maintenance departments.
- Ensure maintenance is carried out as per the OEM Manuals and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure AMO is adequately equipped to carry out maintenance as per AMO Ops Spec.
- Ensure compliance with store procedures and control of Calibration items, Ground support equipment and Special tooling at home base and all line stations.
- Effective management of all engineers.
- Solve technical queries received from Contracts through dealing with suppliers, OEM
CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Strong Administration Skills
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel and Word)
- Good Communication skills
- Good Interpersonal Skills
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Good relationship with SACAA
- Good knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical systems on Aircraft
QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME License holder)
- Rotorcraft type rating applicable to AMO Scope of Approval (preferable)
- Knowledge and experience in the development and management of aircraft maintenance logistical support systems
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in the aircraft maintenance environment
- Experience of the CAMO system (advantageous)
